NOTICE OF CLOSURE
Beginning Monday, July 10, Sherman Street will be closed at the intersection
of 20th Avenue until Monday, July 24, for storm line improvement and concrete
paving. Traffic on Sherman Street will be detoured at 19th Avenue east to
Grant Street. One lane on 20th Avenue will remain open for west bound traffic.
TRAFFIC IMPACTS
Along with the closure on Sherman Street, single lane closures on 20th Avenue should be expected.
Travel speeds will be reduced as motorists merge to use the one thru lane.When construction activities move to 19th Avenue a full road closure may occur.
PARKING IMPACTS
Street parking near active construction zones will be removed, 24 hours a day while crews are occupying
the work area. The parking meters will be bagged and parking will not be allowed.
SIDEWALK IMPACTS
Sections of the sidewalks in the construction zone will be closed, mostly near the street corners. Signed
detours will be in place to guide pedestrians around the closed areas. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained.
